The military shows picture of a successful battle in Gombi with Boko Haram




The battle fought by the Nigerian Military and Boko Haram on Monday in Gombi was a success. They fled from the onslaught by the military of the 23 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in a gun battle that resulted in the death of many of the Boko Haram people. 
 Some of the things recovered are guns, 5,000 rounds of 12.7 millimeter ammunitions and others stuff, see pictures below

Prison Break !! 144 Inmates freed

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
