New kidnapping by Boko Haram in Damasak




This is an unconfirmed post, but the reuters have reported that there have being fresh kidnapping by Boko Haram member in a town that was freed just weeks  go by the Nigerian/Chad Military troops.

From the Northern town of Damasak, the sect are reported to have captured about 400 people, with women and children inclusively on Tuesday.

 “They took about 506 young women and children (in Damasak). They killed about 50 of them before leaving” said Souleymane Ali

a trader in the town who also reported that his wife and three daughters were among those captured by the Boko Haram insurgent. The trader experience of pain and running for his life from the previous attacks of the insurgent, he has finally given up the hope of running away, he said 

“We’ve seen the worst possible things you can imagine, so after a certain point there was no point in trying to leave”  we await the confirmation of the story later.

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
