Nigerian political parties have denied pledging allegiance to Buhari
These parties;
African People Alliance, Kowa Party, Social Democratic Party, African
Democratic Congress, Hope Democratic Party, Democratic Peoples’ Party, United Peoples’ Party and other have allergy
pledge their alliance to the All Progressive Congress APC,
in hope that the
Presidential candidate Mohammadu Buhari would have more votes to secure his win in the
fall of 2015 but now, parties like Independent Democratic and United Progressive
Party have denied pledging support to APC days before the election commence.
The Independent
Democratic in a statement made their National
Chairman Bashir Ibrahim,
“let it be known
that we had earlier on the 11th December 2014, adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as our party’ presidential
candidate in a national convention monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission”
and so also the UPP denied any loyalty, allegiance with APC in a statement made
public by the Director General Chekwas Okorie
