Battle of Nigerian First ladies; Patience Jonathan and Aisha Buhari over Ogbemudia stadium




The wife of the Presidential  aspirant Mohammadu Buhari applied for the use of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Edo  State , after the stadium have being approve for use by the Edo State  Government, the wife of the president of Nigeria Patience Jonathan also applied, and she was giving while the wife of Mohammadu  Buhari was asked to hold on for a bit. 


(As we Nigerians put it in Pidgin language “power pass power” ) and now the wife of the Presidential  candidate for APC will have to hold on until the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan has finished her tour before she can step in.

”for avoidance of trouble, Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo pleaded with Mrs Buhari to allow Patience Jonathan use the stadium in a bid to allow peace reign in the state”

The news has being going all over local media that the wife of Buhari would be delivering a speech for change to  Edo women, on Saturday, March 14, 2015 but now it would have to be in a further date.  

And the Commissioner for Information and Orientation  Mr Louis Odion  said 

”the mix-up in the use of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium  on Saturday, March 14, 2015 was occasioned by the laxity on the part of the officials of the Ministry of Sport  who, without reference to their superiors, proceeded to collect money and use issue receipt only yesterday (Tuesday) to th PDP for use of the stadium knowing full well that the APC had, last week applied for and got approval for use of same facility same day”

Man!!! That na long English Commisioner of Information “na power pass power oooo” as in Nigerian ways………… Wink!!!!

Prison Break !! 144 Inmates freed

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
