Kano Grains market bomb defuse by Police



The police commissioner of Kano State, Aderenle Shinaba while briefing journalist in Kano, confirmed that “a high-caliber bomb” was discovered and defused successfully by the personnel of the Anti-bomb Squad of the command at Dawanau International  Grains market yesterday the 11th of December. 

The commissioner denied that a 13yr old girl suicide bomber was  found with an explosives-packed vest who went to a clinic for treatment, he further called on the  general populace of Kano to cooperate with securities agencies to enable them discharge their duties effectively

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
