185 women and children kidnap by Boko Haram and kills 32 people



Gunmen in pickup trucks attacked the village of Gumsuri, north of Chibok Sunday 14, December, shooting men  before herding women and children together. 

The news took four days to emerge because of lack of communication, since the telecommunications towers in the area had being disabled. Locals whom fled to Maiduguri a four day walk brought the news to the Borno state capital about development in Gumsuri.

They stormed the village in all direction and the local vigilantes could not repelled them, thus they burn down the house with local made petroleum bombs, destroying almost half of the village and took away 185 women, girls and boys 

Resident of Gumsuri continue to arrive Maiduguri, thus Maiduguri has being struggling to accommodate the flow of people from most part of the state that have being displaced by Boko Haram

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
