12 Taliban killed by US drone strike and Pakistani security forces as military response to Peshawar massacre




Five Taliban were killed by US drone strike on hideout in northwestern Pakistan today. This is in response to the massacre of the school children in Peshawar.

In another separate operation, it is reported that seven militant were killed by  the Pakistani security forces on the outskirts of Peshawar, since the massacre, Pakistani air strikes and ground operation have killed around 200 militants in the northwest tribal region near afghan borer

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
