Plateau Bomb blast: 2 soldiers confirmed dead as unserviceable ammunition exploded



Two soldiers have been confirmed dead while one seriously injured after some of the unserviceable ammunition went off while being destroyed.
It was earlier reported about the bomb blast in the 3rd Armoured Division Barracks  at Bassa Local  Government Area of Plateau, now reports shows that it is not an attack, but an accident while trying to destroy unserviceable ammunition. This statement is made pubic by the spokesman for the Nigerian Army of the division Sani Usman,  according to the Military Spokesman that; while trying to destroy some of the ammunitions in a nearby bush, they went off. Contrary to most people believe it was not an  attack by any insurgency group.

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
