Millions of dollars in silver recovered from sea after lost during World War II

It may have taking long but it finally came though as England got its delivery of tons of silver coins back. This money was for these past years deep at the bottom of the Atlantic.

In the year 1942, in the month of November, the unguarded SS City of Cairo was sunk by a German U-boat, onboard are 296 civilians and a cargo of 100 tons of silver.

The vessel go down more than 5,150 meters (16,800 feet) from the surface. Two torpedos sank the ship in 1942 which is sailing from India to England

Only a hand full of the ships crews survived at that time but many died on their way to the shore, for they are miles from the shore when the ship was sank into the Atlantic.

Under the contract of the UK Ministry of Transport DOS, despite reports by BBC that the salvage operation was completed in September 2013, in secret the British government continue the search until this week that they found the treasure. How much do you think 100 tons of silver will worth today?
