Buhari bars AIT from covering his Activities




The staff of African Independent Television AIT have been barred from covering all activities of the president elect until issues bordering on ethics and standard against them have been addres

The campaign organization spokesman Shehu Garba says family and security concerns necessitated that issues in AIT should be settled, in his words 

“AIT has been asked to step aside based on security and family concerns. In  addition Buhari has decided that they will have to resolve some issues relating to issues of standard and ethics. We will be talking with them to try and resolve the matter, but for now the station has been  asked to stay aside because, like I said there  are some family and security concerns.

They have  been asked o step down their coverage until we resolve the matter with them on ethics and standard. You can quote me that I said that we have aside them to step aside and that we are resolving the issues of ethics and standard with them “

and with statement AIT crew members were escorted out of Defence house were Buhari is presently residing

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
