EFCC arraigns suspected hacker for N68bn theft



Stephen Omaidu is arraigned before justice M.A. Nasir of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in jabi Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC with his accomplice Alhaji K.B Kabiru, Godswill Oyegwa, Ben and Oliver, are said to be at large.

This fellow hacked into the server of a second-generation bank and transferred N68.028 billion into different accounts for personal gains. He has now being held without bail and his defence Counsel Gabriel O. Sanifu is urging the court to admit bail for Stephen Omaidu. But justice Nasir ahs orderd the accused t remain in the custody of EFCC

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
