Update 50 killed in Damaturu Bomb blast on Sallah day



Col. Sani Usman  Acting-Director of Army Public Relations has confirmed the twin bomb blast that  took place in Damaturu today. An elderly woman and a 10 year old girl are responsible for the attacked that claim 50 lives.

“This s to confirm that there were two suicide bomb explosion today at about 7:40am in Damaturu, Yobe, in which two female suicide bombers- one elderly woman and a ten year-old girl detonated the devices. It occurred at screening areas for intending Muslims  worshippers at Layin Gwange, Damaturu and at phase 1, in front of former state secretariat, Damaturu” 
 this is  the twin boomb blast this morning in Yobe state.

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
