30 killed in Gombe bomb explosion



About 30 people lost their lives and 67 others injured by multiple bomb explosion that occurred at Dadin-Kowa and Dukku Motor parks of Gombe State  yesterday. The explosion took place around 7:30pm in the evening yesterday(Read Here).

The deceased bodies are deposited at the Federal Teaching Hospital FTH Gombe and the Specialist  Hospital mortuary. The people injured are now taking treatment at the FTH Gombe, in according to Fwaje Atajiri, Police Public Relation Officer, he said the bomb-blast at the Dadin-Kowa motor park took place around 7:50pm when people are coming out of the Mosque soon after prayer and the other at Dukku motor park occurred two hours earlier.

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
