59men, women and children rescued from Boko Haram camps in Borno



The troops of 151 Task Force Battalion launched an attack on the Boko Haram  members  in Kashingeri and were able to rescue 59men, women and children  from Boko  Haram on July 30th .
A landrover vehicle and a Tipper   were also recovered from the sect, while  the 21 Brigade and members of the Nigerian Army Engineers July 29th cleared a notorious terrorist camp and Chuogori and shantumari in Borno State

Prison Break !! 144 Inmates freed

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
