YABATECH expels 73 for forgery



The Academic Board  of Yaba College of Technology, has expelled 73 students for presenting the school with suspected forged results.  The result were discovered during the verification of their senor school certificate and National Diploma results.

The statement was signed by the Deputy Registrar Mrs Titilayo Obadimu, she made it clear that most of the affected students are part-time pursuing National Diploma and Higher National Diploma pregrammes in the school.

These affected student  are for the academic session of 2013/2014, with 46 student for National  Diploma  and 27 are for Higher Diploma, in the  statement 

“All affected students are advised to hand over the property of the college in their possession, including Identity Cards, to their heads of department, the librarian and Dean of Students’ Affairs,’

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
