Amnesty for looters in Nigeria

Senator Aloysius Etok, a former Chairman  of Senate Committee  on Establishment  and Public  Service  Matters  has called on Muhammadu Buhari to introduce what, he himself called  “Self amnesty programme for looters  of the nation’s treasury”

He said the idea of this is to enable those who looted the country’s funds in different  sectors to return the looted money. The senator Etok who has represented Akwa Ibom North-West senatorial District at the National  Assembly  from 2007 to 2015 explains his  ideas in Calaber, and says if they should return the  money, they should be left alone

“Let us have self amnesty programme for those who looted the economy. If for instance you have stolen N6 and you have eaten N2, you should be allowed to return the N4 that is left. That should be the starting point.”
