Nigerian military on the Onslaught as they kill over 300 terrorist and captures many others




The Nigerian military through the Defence spokesman, Chris Olukolade said they have killed over 300 terrorist as a result of land and air operation in the area in the past two days.

 
Mr Chris explained that five armored vehicles, one anti-aircraft gun,  50 cases of packed bombs, eight different types of machine guns and five rocket propelled grenade were recovered from the Boko  Haram insurgent.


Olukolade ensured that aggressive actions taking by the military in the following communities Monguno, Gabchari, Abba Jabari, Zuntur, Gajigana, Gamakar, Kumaliwa, Bosso Wanti, Jeram and Kabrisungul have  now cleared the insurgent   and the towns are free. 


Two soldier died and 10 others wounded, and the Army have successfully chased Boko Haram from the state capital of Maiduguri.

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
