Suicide Bomber abandon vehicle at check point


A suspected bomber yesterday has abandoned a pick-up truck with bomb at a police check point on Gombe-Biu road. He fled to an unknown destination when the improvised explosive device failed to detonate at the check point. The suspect has concealed the device with bags of maize, house utensils, beddings and other items while he was driving from Gombe to Dadin Kowa-Biu.

First he attempted to bride the policemen at the Dutsen Kura check point near Dadin Kowa in Yamaltu/Deba Local  Government  Area of Gombe State, but the police refuse on duty refuse the bride and insisted that the van must be check.


The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Gombe State Police Command, Mr Fwaje Atajiri confirmed that the suspect fled to an unknown destination, the vehicle have registration number MUS 104 BR(Lagos)

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night.
