Maiduguri, konduga: 53 terrorists killed




A gun battle between Nigerian Military and the Boko Haram in Maiduguri and Konduga on Saturday has resulted in the death of 53 terrorist  and now health workers are finding a hard time evacuating bodies from the location in which the attacks have taken place.

The sect lunched three different attacks in three largest towns of the state and the Nigerian military responded, this resulted into the death of 53 terrorist and Monguno town in Maiduguri  falls to Boko Haram while the remaining two towns where kept safe by repelling the sect and substantial amount of weaponry have being captured by the military in the fight that lasted till Monday morning

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
