Nasir El-Rufai; we have discovered N4bn in 470 accounts by the past Administration



The Kaduna State  Governor Mallam Nasir  El-Rufai on Saturday (5 September, 2015) said it would be adopting the Single Account  Treasury STA.
the state has now uncovered 470 different account in 23 commercial banks where N4bn was stashed.

The governor who spoke through his deputy Barnabbas Bala in a town meeting held at Kafanchan, in Kaura Local Government Area of the state said, the single account was able to trace and discover the said amount in banks by the former administration.

The deputy governor said the system of STA in the state has already started yielding results and that is why the state was  able trace the said amount to the 23 commercials banks they where stashed in.

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
