Military kills 11 cattle rustlers in Katsina and arrested 39



The troops of the Nigerian Army  operating in Faskari and Safana  areas of Katsina state  have killed 11 cattle rustlers and arrested 39 armed bandits.
The involvement of the Nigerian Army  has being as a result of the Northwestern governor who requested the help of the Nigerian Army under the leadership of Kaduna State  Governor and approved by the president in an Operation  called RESTORE PEACE. This was made available to the general public by Captain Ikechukwu Stephen Eze, the Assistant  Director Army  Public Relations

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
