Serena Biggest Defeat in 16 years



Concerns about a knee injury mat have cost Serena Williams her heaviest defeat in 16years of her career as she won two games. The 18-time Grand slam champion was a shadow of herself as she slumped 6-0, 6-2 to Romania’s Simon Halep. “oh, God no. I’m definitely not 100 percent okay. I’m just here playing but I’m not nowhere near 100” said Serena when she was asked about her knee injury.

The defeat ended the run of 16 straight victories, Ana  Ivanovic on the other hand maintained her semi-final hopes with a 6-1, 6-3 win over an out of sorts Eugenie Bouchard.
