25 Killed and Arms Recovered



The Nigerian soldiers have atleast killed 25 members of the sect know as Boko Haram in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno state. This event took place on Sunday when the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army killed the members of Boko Haram. This change in event may bring about a new dimension about the issues of ceasefire talk between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the insurgent called Boko Haram.

A source said “terrorist numbering over 100 in 7 Hilux pickup vans and motorcycles fully armed with Rocket propelled Launchers, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), AK47 rifles stormed the town  on Sunday night, they realized that the town has started picking up live following returning back of many fleeing residents after military took over from the terrorists who had captured the town in June this year, but we are happy that they were  confronted”

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
