South Africa Must Punish attackers ECOWAS
The Economic
Community of West African State ECOWAS has demanded that all those that have attack foreigners must be arrested and
persecuted.
ECOWAS has also demanded that the South African Government should
halt the actions of Xenophobia attacks.
The Chairman
of ECOWAS and president of Ghana John Mahama made this clear on Tuesday in Abuja.
The chairman had a closed door meeting with president-elect Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja Nigeria where he made these statement.
The chairman
says he believes that the young ones of South Africa knew nothing about how
they gained their freedom and how the whole continent stood behind them to gain
their freedom.
The chairman
also lamented how Nigeria though not a neighbor of South Africa was at the
frontline in fighting for the freedom of South
Africa, and the heinous crime that the people of South Africa are
inflicting on Africans by xenophobia attacks is a big crime
