5 Dead in Zaria During clash Between Shiite and Military Troops



The clash between the Nigerian soldiers and the Muslims Shiite group today in PZ area of Sabon Gari-Zaria left five dead.

Details of this event is still not clear, but can be said to be due to the impatient nature of the Nigerian Army Troops after waiting for about 35minutes when the Shiite Muslims  have block the road during an annual procession called “Quds Day”.

The Shiite and the Nigerian troops have yet to react due to the killing  of the Shiite members but it is clear that there is enough tension in Zaria now

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
