Police demand FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND Naira from family of murdered victim before investigation
The police
attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of Delta State Police
in Asaba, have allegedly requested for a bride of Five hundred Thousand Naira
from the family that lost their son before he can begin investigation of the
cause of the boys’ death.
The aggrieved
family’s son, Mr Bestman Tobore was stabbed to death during a robbery on May 8th,
2015. The suspect who was held in the Ovwian Police station in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State escape during interrogation in the police station.
A man
named as Obus “Ghana Boy” who was
identified by the family of Mr Tobore’s
and members of his gang as the killers of their son.
Thus Inspector
Patrick Onu and Inspector Oyibo have demanded the sum of five hundred naira
from the family of the deceased before any arrest can be made. These Inspectors
also told the family that the gangs
enjoyed a close and friendly relationship with the police.

Celestine Kalu the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer proved hard to
be contacted in other to confirmed the authenticity of the allegations layed by
the deceased family.
