Jihad Simplified

The term jihad; it is a religious duty to all Muslims to spread the Islamic faith through waging war. In recent day Islamic definition of jihad; “it means a holy war” and this war can be  carried out in the following ways

§                          By the heart
§                        By the tongue
§                       By the hand and
§                      By the sword
This defines ways of performing jihad, The heart; is a form of jihad in which the believer cleans and purifies himself spiritually by doing battle with the devils and being free from evils inducement by the devil. The second and the third is the largest method of jihad where the individual, supports, upholds and stick to what is right and in every perspective devotes to doing what is right. Well the fourth way of performing jihad “to wage war against unbelievers and the enemies of the Islamic faith”
In history, war against the non-Muslims, is termed Jihad especially during the 18th and 19th centuries in West Africa, notable in the Usman Dan Fodio (Usman bn Fodio) who established the Sokoto Caliphate in 1804. Man bn Fodio was the guy who made a lot of impact on the Muslims and non-Muslims community during his time and may be said to be the first person who actually introduce the jihad to the Northern States of Nigeria before the Amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914.
The history of Dan Fodio is on a new level and his exploits in the Islamic faith  is off course can be said to be the first of its kind. It was Dan Fodio who was accredited to allowing women first to sit and listen to his message (Islamically No law broken) he teaches both women and men and his daughter Asmau was known to have writing a lot of literatures about the faith. She can be said to be the first literate women in northern Nigeria at her time.
Well, we have  heard about the definition of jihad and  the method of propagation and now, what method do we think is best for the propagation of this faith that rival the Christian faith and other know religion in the world
