Pakistani troops gun down the school massacre mastermind
In a remote area near the afghan
border, Saddam Jan, the commander of one of the factions of the Taliban militants
waging war on Pakistan was killed on Christmas day, a local government official,
Shahab Ali Shah said “Jan was
responsible for facilitating the massacre at the Army Public School and College”.
Jan was killed in Gundi Jamrud as
part of an intensification of anti-Taliban operation the Pakistan army
following December 16 massacre in Peshawar. The Peshawar school massacre is
believed to have been ordered by Umar Mansoor on behalf of Maulana Fazlullah,
the Tehrik-e-Taliban leader
