Almost 300 ISIS fighters killed: as Iraq forces recapture Dhuluiya town 45 miles north of Baghdad
The Iraqi forces have recaptured
the town of Dhuluiya, killing almost 300 ISIS fighters. The raid on the town
was made by Government forces and the Shia militias on Sunday by helicopter and fighter
jets.
After an overnight battle with
the ISIS, by the afternoon of Monday, the militants were confined in a small zone
to the north-west where they were surrounded.
The half part of the town of Dhuluiya was seized by the
militants in June this year, and the surrounding southern part of Dhuluiya are
the members of Sunni al-Jubouri tribe that refuse to swear allegiance to the
militant.
