84-years old Australian Living with the Largest Captive Croc
The dangerous Crocodile named
Cassius, was captured by George Craig, 84 from Green island in Australia. The crocodile
is about 18ft long and weighs a tone 30 years ago is now living with George Craig.
George as a young man had spend 17 years hunting these type of dangerous crocodiles
and relocating them to a safe enclosure.
The Croc had lived in George sanctuary Marineland
Melanesia for the past 30years, and George believes that the Croc will eat him
any given time if he gave him the opportunity.
“cassius was a problem crocodile with a very aggressive nature.
He was becoming notorious and he would have almost
certainly been killed if not he hadn’t been removed and taken to a safe place
by my grandfather” said Billy Craig, George Craig grandson.
The crocodile was captured in the
old fashion way and transported, transferred by truck 1850 miles to Cairns and
by boat to Green Island, where he lives at the George’s family business Marineland
Melanesia which is set up since 1969 to provide a living place for crocodile
safety.
