Obama orders 300 troops to Cameroon to support fight against Boko Haram
The president
of America Obama on Wednesday October 14, said he has ordered 300 troops to Cameroon
to work with West African soldiers in
other to counter the Nigerian group of extremist called Boko Haram. the troops
are to provide “Intelligence,
surveillance and reconnaissance” in the
region
The troops
will be armed for their protection and will not be engaged in combat says the White
House press secretary, Josh Earnest.
Unarmed Predators drones would also be sent
with the troops, whose intention is to aid the multinational task force
composed of soldiers from Cameroon, Chad , Benin, Niger and Nigeria says the
