Chief of Army Staff Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai to Probe Minimah over arms purchase
Lt-Gen
Tukur Buratai who recently took over from Lt-Gen Kenneth Minimah has set up a
panel of investigation over billions of dollars that were spent on the purchase
of weapons and logistics that did not add up.
He set
up the probe after making an inventory of army weaponry and discovering that there
is a significant lesser weaponry than what should be available for the fight
against Boko Haram.
The panel
is head by a Brigadier General, three lieutenant Colonels and for Colonels as
members to check all weaponry and logistics bought for Nigerian Army from 2010
to 2015.
