Jihad Simplified
The term
jihad; it is a religious duty to all Muslims to spread the Islamic faith
through waging war. In recent day Islamic definition of jihad; “it means a holy
war” and this war can be carried out in
the following ways
§ By the heart
§ By the tongue
§ By the hand and
§ By the sword
This defines
ways of performing jihad, The heart; is a form of jihad in which the believer
cleans and purifies himself spiritually by doing battle with the devils and
being free from evils inducement by the devil. The second and the third is the
largest method of jihad where the individual, supports, upholds and stick to
what is right and in every perspective devotes to doing what is right. Well the
fourth way of performing jihad “to wage
war against unbelievers and the enemies of the Islamic faith”
In history,

and 19th centuries in West Africa, notable in the Usman Dan Fodio

the guy who made a lot of impact on the Muslims and non-Muslims community
during his time and may be said to be the first person who actually introduce
the jihad to the Northern States of Nigeria before the Amalgamation of Nigeria in
1914.
The history
of Dan Fodio is on a new level and his exploits in the Islamic faith is off course can be said to be the first of
its kind. It was Dan Fodio who was accredited to allowing women first to sit
and listen to his message (Islamically No law broken) he teaches both women and
