The Rise of Boko Haram

The word Boko Haram come from the Hausa language which is most used in the Northern part of Nigeria as mean of communication and performing public functions to the locals there. Boko Haram simple means “Western Education is sinful”. The sects best known as Boko Haram was founded in Northern Nigeria by Mohammed Yusuf in the year 2001.

This organization known as Boko Haram is an Islamic Jihadist militant, seeking a “pure Islamic state rule” and putting a stop to westernization. But am thrilled by this sect, if they seek to create a state with pure Islamic rule, then why target the Christian, Governmental institutions, police station and other public places, by so doing I do not think they are achieving their sole aim, set objectives and guys you are not making Nigeria safe for us any longer oooo.

Mohammed Yusuf I do not know your motive of creating/forming the organization called Boko Haram, but between 2001 and 2013, 3,600 fellow countrymen have died all in the name of Boko Haram, to what extent is the good in killing your countrymen? I may be  naïve, but where is the country Nigeria moving to? To say my mind, i think we are walking straight to our DOOM.

The outside world are making things more complicated for us, why? The United States Department of State has offered $7million reward for the capture of Abubakar Shekau’s (Boko Haram leader) when this guys are saying NO TO WESTERNIZATION.  You guys are setting a bounty for this guy.

This group initially started as indigenous Jihadist saying NO to Western World but I do not know why it came back to burning churches and killing Christians, these guys did not stop there, they went ahead even killing Muslim Clerics as long as they criticize their methods.

We cannot say for sure what this guys are after and aiming at, but the Sultan of Sokoto Sa’adu Abubakar, the spiritual leader of Nigerian Muslim has called the sect “anti-Islamic” and as reported by the website AllAfrica.com “an embarrassment to Islam, can this guys stop please and let me live my life with peace in Nigeria? Mohammed Yusuf why did you start this sect?

In 1995 this very sect was said to be operating under the name Shabaab Muslim Youth with Mallam Lawal as the leader, and Lawal left to further his education and Mohammed Yusuf took over leadership (The Rise of Boko Haram). This guy was said to have opened the group to political influence and popularity. In 2002 Yusuf in Maiduguri try establishing a Shari’a Government in Borno State under then senator Ali Modu Sheriff. A religious complex was build, a mosque and a school where many poor families from across Nigeria and neighboring countries enrolled their children. (Nigerian NO offence but this is poverty in the first degree you know). This centre became the recruiting ground for Boko Haram, (see person from Niger they come Kill Nigerian say im na Boko Haram) and that is when Nigerian trouble started with a  lot of my fellow countrymen  being killed and the number is increasing.
