5 arrested by Police in Azare, Bauchi bomb Explosion



The deaths of innocent people in the Northern States of Nigeria continues, thirteen people dead from todays’ deadly bomb attack on Azare in Bauchi state. Emmanuel Ojukwu the Public Relationship officer says ten more people have suffered various degrees of injuries during the explosion that rocks Azare Bauchi State. 

Emmanuel Ojukwu said detectives have stated investigation into the matter that lead to the death of the thirteen people and left about a dozen injured, on the course of the investigation five people have being arrested, and  due to some reasons, the identities of the suspects have not being released to the general public.

The explosion took place at the premises of the First Bank branch of the Azare town in the earlier hours of today. The blast was said to have occurred close to the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of First Bank as customers are queuing to make withdrawals at around 9:00am

Kogi state prison called Koton-Karfe on   Sunday night had an episode, that left the prison gates open and the inmates out on the street. Koton-Karfe is   said to be the home for armed robbers and murderers whom out of 145 inmates, 144 are said to have escape and found their way back into the society.  The Prison Break was facilitated by external attack on the prison around 9:30pm   and 10:00pm said Adams Omale the State Controller of Prison. The correctional facility was ransacked and its ceiling shattered with one of its inmates dead. 12 of the escape convict were apprehended and brought back to Koton-Karfe, these event of Prison Break took place Sunday night. After the event has piped down, the governor of the state today being Monday (03/11/2014)   pays a visit to the prison. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons service Aminu Suley also visited the Prison to witness the aftermath of the Prison Break of Sunday night (02/11/2014).
